§ 2-468. Funds generally.

  • All funds accruing to the city for hospital purposes shall be paid over to the city and receipts therefor shall be filed with the city clerk. No hospital funds in the hands of the city shall be expended except upon warrants duly executed by the mayor and city clerk, and all warrants shall be drawn upon vouchers of the president and secretary of the hospital board of trustees. No warrant shall be drawn unless first authorized by the city council. The funds in the hands of the city shall be kept in deposit with a depository designated by the city council. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Division 2 or otherwise, funds received by the city in connection with the sale of the hospital facility and/or the defeasance of bonds related to the hospital facility shall be deposited in such city accounts as are designated by the city council.
