§ 2-221. Generally.

There is created the office of director of engineering. The director of engineering shall be appointed by the mayor with the consent of a majority of the members elected to the council. The director of engineering may be removed from office by the mayor with the consent of a majority of all the members elected to the council. The director of engineering may be removed from office by a two-thirds vote of all members elected to the council, independent of the mayor's approval or recommendation.
