§ 2-143. Qualifications, appointments and compensation.

The city attorney shall be a person licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri. The city attorney shall be appointed by the mayor with the approval of the council and shall serve at the pleasure of the mayor and the council. The city attorney shall receive as compensation and expenses those sums as set forth in the budget ordinance of the city each year.
