§ 23-415. Sales from parked vehicles prohibited, exceptions.

  • No motor vehicle or trailer shall be parked on any public street within the city for the purpose of selling or offering for sale any produce or merchandise of any kind whatsoever, except as follows:

    (1)

    When the city council authorizes a street, or any portion thereof, to be temporarily closed for the purpose of a public event where vendors are expressly allowed; or

    (2)

    Mobile vendors such as ice cream trucks will be allowed to sell merchandise in areas which are zoned residential (i.e, Districts A, B, C-1 and C) provided that they are not parked within any city block for more than fifteen (15) minutes during any four-hour period.
