§ 13-8. Solicitation of contributions or business on public roadways.

  • No person shall stand in a public roadway for the purpose of soliciting contributions or business from the occupant of any vehicle. For purposes of this section, "public roadway" shall be defined as that portion of any public road or highway, including the entire area of municipal parking lots, improved, designed or ordinarily used for vehicular travel, including any berm or shoulder within the public right-of-way immediately adjacent thereto, and also including any berm or median located between any lanes of any public road or highway.
