§ 10-30. Employees required to pay debts; no political or religious discrimination; participation in elections.

Any officer or member of the fire department neglecting or refusing to pay a just debt shall be discharged from the service of the city. No officer or member of the department shall be employed or discharged on account of his religious or political views. Except to exercise the right to vote, no member of the fire department shall participate in an election.
